The Langhe is a hilly area to the south and east of the Tanaro river. Its vineyards consistencies an example of mans interaction with its natural environment. The best possible adaptation of grape varieties to land with specific soil and climate components, thereby becoming and international benchmark with wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. The indigenous varietals of the Langhe are : Arneis, Favorita, Nascetta, Nebbiolo, Freisa, Barbera, Dolcetto.
